Alan Baratz, CEO of the American quantum computing company D-Wave Quantum, stated that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's views on quantum computing are 'totally wrong'.
Previously, Huang's remarks that it would take at least another 15 years for quantum computers to be applied scared Wall Street, leading to a significant drop in related stocks, including D-Wave.
Baratz mentioned that companies including Mastercard and Japan's NTT are using D-Wave's quantum computers in production, 'not 30 years from now, not 20 years from now, and not 15 years from now. But right now, today.'
Baratz stated that while Huang's 'comments may not be entirely wrong for gate model quantum computers, they are 100% wrong for annealing quantum computers.' He added, 'I would be happy to meet with Jensen Huang at any time, anywhere to help him fill in these gaps.' (Jin Shi)
