It has been reported that the SB325 bill proposed by the Oklahoma State Senate allows state employees, businesses, and individuals to pay or receive wages, compensation, and other fees in Bitcoin, and exempts digital asset companies that do not engage in dollar transactions from the requirement to obtain a money transmission license. The bill requires the state treasurer to sign a contract with a company that processes Bitcoin payments by January 1, 2026, and stipulates that the tax commission must issue tax guidance for digital asset payments by the same date. The bill will officially take effect on November 1, 2025.
