Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated almost 3 times more cryptocurrencies than were mined in December. Bitcoin ETFs in the United States accumulated around 51,500 BTCs, almost three times the approximately 14,000 bitcoins mined in the month, according to data from BiTBO. The demand for bitcoin by ETFs was almost 272% greater than the supply. According to Jesse Myers, co-founder of Onramp Bitcoin, “there is not enough supply available at current prices to meet demand”, predicting a “supply shock”. (Cointelegraph)
