🔸 US President-elect Donald Trump announced at a news conference at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida that the country has too high interest rates and inflation is continuing.
🔸 The statements come as the Federal Reserve under the Joe Biden administration raised interest rates to their highest level in two decades to curb inflation.
🔸 Trump, who previously accused Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell of playing politics, said he would let Powell stay in office until the end of his term in 2026.
🔸 The annual inflation rate reached 2.7% in November, still above the Federal Reserve's 2% target, and the current interest rate is between 4.25% and 4.5%.
