The cryptocurrency market lost millions of dollars as Bitcoin (BTC) fell by around 6% in the last 24-hour period and fell to the $96,117 band.

According to Coinglass data, at the time of writing, the total value of positions liquidated in the last 24 hours was $600 million. It was stated that more than 207,000 cryptocurrency investors in total were affected by this situation.

The largest liquidation was a $17 million Ethereum long position opened on cryptocurrency exchange Binance, while approximately 90.94% of the total liquidated positions were reported to be long positions.

Of the liquidated positions, $111 million was from Bitcoin and $138 million was from Ethereum (ETH). When data on all cryptocurrencies is examined, $573 million of long positions were liquidated in 24 hours, while the total value of positions liquidated on the short side corresponds to $61 million.

While $285 million of the total liquidation amount of $600 million was realized on the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, OK..X came in second place with $151 million in liquidation.

While Bitcoin has fallen by 6.5% in the last 24 hours, this decline was reflected much more harshly in altcoins. Ethereum fell by 8%, Binance Coin (BNB) by 5% and Cardano (ADA) by 8% in the same period. The total value of the cryptocurrency market fell to $3.50 trillion.
