#CryptoMarketDip Czech National Bank Governor Aleš Michl is considering buying Bitcoin to diversify reserves. The banker emphasized that there are no approved plans to purchase cryptocurrency from the Central Bank yet. He said this in an interview with CNN Prima News.
Michl noted that Bitcoin could be an interesting option for asset diversification, but the final decision remains with the bank's seven-member board. At the same time, the bank continues to increase its gold reserves. Bankers plan to bring them to 5% of total assets by 2028
Recall that since January 1, Bitcoins that have been held for more than three years are not taxed in the Czech Republic. This approach stimulates long-term investments in cryptocurrency.
