I have been in the cryptocurrency industry for almost 8 years. I have made money and lost money. I have done ICO, Dogecoin, mining, etc., and have experienced three rounds of bull and bear markets. After summarizing my countless operations, in the end, there is only one way to make money steadily. That is simple and crude:

Buy in a bear market and sell in a bull market, you will definitely make a profit.

The bull market usually lasts for 6 months to 1 year, and the bear market usually lasts for 1 to 2 years. A bull-bear cycle lasts for 3 to 4 years. Seize the opportunity and earn at least 50%+ in each bull market, which is enough to outperform the returns of various financial management, stocks, and funds. Because this 50%+ return is certain to be earned, without any suspense.

1. Only position in a bear market.

You must have patience and try to position at the bottom of the bear market (though it’s impossible to buy at the true bottom of the bear market). The simple condition to judge the bottom of a bear market is that no one pays attention to Bitcoin anymore, and the crypto market is lifeless. You can buy intermittently multiple times; this period may last for a year or even longer.

2. Mainstream coins

BTC and ETH are always the kings of the crypto world; buying in a bear market is definitely not wrong. Although they may not multiply, buying in a bear market and holding until selling in a bull market will definitely yield over 50% gains. It's the first choice for large funds.

Exchange platform tokens: such as BNB.

Relatively strong infrastructure chains: such as SOL, AVAX.

Good infrastructure coins: such as MATIC.

Strong consensus coins: such as Doge, SHIB, RATS, PEPE.

Heavily investing should always be in mainstream coins; never heavily invest in altcoins. The logic of altcoins is to harvest retail investors; many altcoins will emerge in every bull market. The altcoins that are surging in this round of the bull market may fall silent in the next round, overshadowed by new altcoins. Without internal channels and information, it is almost impossible to accurately bet on an altcoin before it erupts. Generally, you only hear about an altcoin after it surges, and by then it’s already too late to follow in. Maybe you will be lucky and it will continue to rise, but it’s more likely to fluctuate and decline. Altcoins are too volatile; most people can't hold them regardless of whether they go up or down. They often make a small profit but then incur a significant loss. In the end, it all adds up to a loss.

3. Sell in the mid-bull market, no further operations afterward.

In the early stages of the bull market, BTC will gradually rise, standing out on its own and driving ETH upwards. At this time, some good mainstream coins will follow suit, while other coins will rise slowly, and a few altcoins will surge wildly, while most altcoins remain quiet.

In the mid-bull market, BTC and ETH will fluctuate and rise, mainstream coins will start to strengthen, and altcoins will begin to activate.

In the late bull market, BTC fluctuates and declines, while ETH may continue to surge. Mainstream coins will rise one after another, and the high-performing altcoins in the next bull market may soar several times, even dozens or hundreds of times.

At the end of the bull market, BTC may drop thousands of points or even tens of thousands, then slightly recover. The first sharp drop recovers quickly, giving the illusion of just an adjustment. After two or three such drops, the bull market is declared over. If you get stuck in this situation, please do not harbor any illusions and stop the loss in time. Otherwise, your principal will be dragged into an abyss.

4. Do not gamble on luck in the bull market.

There are many opportunities in the bull market, especially in the later stages. Altcoins will fly everywhere, with many altcoins surging several times, making people envious. This can lead to impatience to follow or impulsively choosing certain promising but yet-to-erupt altcoins to invest heavily in, waiting for their rise with confidence. Such a mindset is best avoided; it is purely gambling luck, indistinguishable from gambling, and has nothing to do with investing.

Every bull market will give rise to many altcoins that harvest retail investors. These altcoins have a lot of hype, and their backgrounds seem very strong, with very rapid growth. Please resist temptation; only after the tide recedes will you know who is swimming naked. When BTC plummets and the bear market arrives, these altcoins will be halved, quartered, or even close to zero.

If you really can't resist the temptation, you can only use very small amounts of funds to play around. Even if you make a small profit, do not get carried away and invest heavily. Absolutely do not, absolutely do not, absolutely do not. This is gambling; luck cannot always be on your side. It doesn't matter if you win a hundred times; what matters is that if you lose once, you could lose all your capital to start over. Do not fantasize about heavily investing in an altcoin and becoming rich; this is like dreaming of winning the lottery, a super low-probability event. Small funds can be played as entertainment, but considering it as an investment is a big mistake.

5. More patience, less impulsiveness.

After buying in a bear market, you need to patiently wait to sell in a bull market; do not operate on the fluctuations during this time, and waiting requires patience.

After selling in the bull market, patiently wait for the bull market to collapse and enter a bear market. This period may take one or two years. Do not impulsively try to catch the bottom at the hillside or foot of the mountain; patiently wait for the moment it falls into the valley.

After selling in the bull market and making a profit, do not give in to the temptation to impulsively play with altcoins. If you really want to take a gamble, you can only use at most 10% of your funds.

6. The principal is always the most important.

If you mistakenly make a bad operation and get stuck, preserving your principal is the most important thing. During a crash in the crypto market, be willing to cut losses in time to preserve most of your principal and the basic capital. Then there is hope for a comeback. Patiently wait for the crypto market to fall into the abyss, and then use the remaining principal to buy at the bottom. Do not get stuck and go down with the crypto market; often, if you buy a stuck coin and sell before the market crashes, you only lose 50% of your principal at most. If you ignore it and let it fall, holding on till the end, when that coin falls with the market to the bottom, the remaining principal will almost have no chance of recovery.
