Despite all of the zigzaging this week and all of the turmoil and drama of last weekend. I feel like the markets are in a state of "The calm before the storm" today. Little movements today and yesterday and it's awfully quiet. Yet the global representation of the altcoin chart is holding its ground and it feels like it's literally on the verge of a breakout. January might have started differently than most people have expected (Trump memecoins?), but it doesn't disregard the fact that Q1 might still be explosive (as history often has done). Again: The calm before the storm? 👀

The Ethereum foundation is rallying back! They just allocated $50k $ETH to help build DeFi on Ethereum. That's the equivalent of $167 million dollars right now. Do you think that will go to innovation and utility or memes? 😏 (we both know the answer to that one) Well played Vitalik, well played.

How the path to alt season works... Phase 1: Bitcoin pumps. Phase 2: Capital rotates into ETH and other big boys like SOL and they pump. Phase 3: Capital rotates into large to mid caps and they pump. Phase 4: Capital rotates into small cap alts and ALT SEASON! But there is a limited amount of money in crypto. So, at each phase, liquidity gets concentrated into specific alts. In the end it always rotates into small caps as people take profit on larger caps and want to gamble more. Eventually, the insane profits people made on TRUMP will rotate into small cap alts. This is the weirdest path to alt season ever. But we are still on the path in my opinion.
