Crypto Fund Inflows Reach Record $44B in 2024. 2024 was a record year for crypto-asset funds, wrote James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares.

The figure was four times higher than the previous high of 2021 ($10.5B). Bitcoin funds saw $38B inflows (29% of AUM), while altcoin funds saw $813M (18% of AUM). According to him, Ethereum “saw a renaissance” in 2024, with combined inflows into the respective products amounting to $4.8B (26% of AUM). This is 2.4 times more than the 2021 figure, 60 times more than the inflows in 2023. Butterfill predicted Bitcoin at $150,000 in 2025. According to him, one should not rule out an increase in the asset's capitalization from the current 10% of the market value of gold to 25% in the long term.
