According to Foresight News and reported by The Block, ZKcandy, a game-specific Layer 2 blockchain powered by ZKsync, announced the completion of a $4 million private placement financing. This round of financing was participated in by organizations such as Wemix Pte. Ltd., Animoca Ventures, Spartan Group, Perlone Capital, Presto Labs, Flowdesk, Prometheuz, Lecca Ventures, and Efficient Frontier, along with early contributors and angel investors including Stacks, Analog, and Mittaria. The funds will be used to build a Telegram-based EVM game ecosystem, collaborate with intellectual property holders, expand the partner network, develop game AI agents, and prepare for the mainnet launch in the first half of this year. Currently, the project has advanced over 25 games in different stages.
ZKcandy is developed and operated by iCandy, and its subsidiary Lemon Sky Studios has been involved in the production of several AAA games, including (Ghost of Tsushima), (The Last of Us: Part II Remake), (Spider-Man 2), (Baldur's Gate 3), and (Final Fantasy 16).
