🍕 The most expensive pizza in the world

In May 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made the first recorded purchase with Bitcoin. What did he buy? Two pizzas! 🍕🍕

He paid 10,000 bitcoins for them, which at that time were worth about 41 dollars. Back then, Bitcoin was practically unknown, and no one imagined how valuable it would become.

Today, those 10,000 BTC are worth over 400 million dollars (depending on the current price). Now those were some expensive pizzas!

Since then, May 22 is celebrated as “Bitcoin Pizza Day” as a reminder of how far this cryptocurrency has come… and that maybe we should think twice before spending our cryptos on fast food!

Moral of the story: Don’t underestimate the value of your digital investments (or the power of a craving).
