I made 32 million in the last bull market. Let me share my experience of earning my first bucket of gold in the crypto world. Born in 1990, graduated from university in 2014, and started working in Shenzhen, I entered the crypto space in early 2016. Currently, I own a house in Shenzhen, three cars, and I can spend 100,000 RMB each month without much pressure; most of my other assets are in exchanges. I used to work in e-commerce in Shenzhen, earning 20,000 to 30,000 RMB a month, with monthly expenses over 10,000 RMB, which allowed me to save about 10,000 to 20,000 RMB each month. Like many others who 'migrated' to Shenzhen, I also wanted to buy a house there. However, with that income level, it was unclear when I would be able to save for a down payment; there was a bottleneck in job income, and it was hard to get a salary increase. It wasn't until later when I got into the crypto space that I realized I could leverage virtual currencies to multiply my assets! I was quite lucky; when I entered the crypto space, I happened to meet a few good teachers, which was truly my biggest fortune, my mentor! At that time, I risked most of my savings in digital currencies, making a large investment in ETH, along with a small portion in BTC and some miscellaneous altcoins. I experienced several major pullbacks along the way and increased my positions, but then I didn't operate much anymore. Even during significant drops, I didn't sell and added more to some promising altcoins. By November 2021, Bitcoin broke its historical high of 69,000 USD, and the market sentiment was very bullish. Many believed it would exceed 100,000 USD, but in fact, 69,000 was the peak of this bull market. By the end of November, I noticed the overall market trend weakening and deduced that the bull market was likely over, so I cleared most of my positions. At that time, Bitcoin was around 58,000 RMB, and Ethereum was around 4,400 RMB. In hindsight, this was a very wise choice, while some retail investors with 'bullish fantasies' shouting 'eternal bull market' and clinging to 'tail-end rallies' have now been caught off guard. After the bull market in 2021 ended, my fund account had about 22 million RMB.
