Fred Thiel, CEO of the American mining company MARA Holdings, has revealed the strategy for buying bitcoin that he intends to adhere to and shared his forecast for the first cryptocurrency’s prospects. In an interview with Fox Business, Fred Thiel advised private investors to “buy a little” bitcoin and “forget” about their investments. The businessman said that over the past 14 years, the bitcoin rate has fallen significantly only three times. However, “investing and forgetting” may be a difficult task for some investors, since bitcoin is considered a risky asset due to its high volatility. “The recommendation, even to my children, is to invest a little money in bitcoin every month and forget about it. Over two, three, four years, the invested funds will multiply. On average, bitcoin grows by 29-50%,” Fred Thiel said. The head of MARA Holdings listed several factors that, in his opinion, are capable of pushing the bitcoin rate up in the coming year. First of all, this is the creation of a strategic state reserve of bitcoins in the United States, as well as “the formation of a more loyal regulatory environment for the crypto industry” under the Donald Trump administration.
