CoinVoice has recently learned that, according to News.bitcoin, based on on-chain analysis by the crypto aggregator Dropstab, in 2024, various projects distributed a total of $14.91 billion to crypto users through a series of airdrop activities. At the top of the airdrop distribution list is Hyperliquid, where over 90,000 users received $1.34 billion in airdrops. Following closely is Starknet, with 1.3 million addresses receiving airdrops worth $1.33 billion in 700 million tokens. The airdrops of $1.15 billion from Pengu, $896 million from Wormhole, and $891 million from Jupiter became the top five airdrop projects with the highest earnings in 2024.
Among the $14.91 billion distributed through airdrops, the L2 sector distributed $4.22 billion (28.3%), the DeFi sector distributed $3.31 billion (22.2%), and the L1 sector distributed $2.63 billion (17.6%).
