Ripple Releases 500 Million XRP Before Trump's Inauguration
A third-party account belonging to Ripple reportedly sent 500 million XRP to an unknown address on Wednesday (01/01). Not only that, the fund also wrote _"we are going to make crypto great again,"_ before the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.
The unlocking took place in the "Ripple 25" wallet with a balance that increased to 1 billion tokens shortly after the unlocking. Not only that, Ripple sent the 500 million tokens received to another wallet, "Ripple 13" and locked the tokens in this recipient wallet.
This incident is quite interesting, because the January escrow execution only registered the unlocking of 500 million XRP out of 1 billion tokens. Even so, the second wave of the release of the remaining tokens is projected to be released in the near future.
