Bitcoin is up 4.5% in three days after finding support at the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level at $92,606 on Monday. This level is a crucial reversal area as it matches the 50-day exponential moving average at $93,588. As of Friday, it is trading at $97,000.
If $92,606 holds as support, Bitcoin will rise to $100,000, its psychological level. If it closes above that, it could rise to its all-time high on December 17, 2024 at $108,353.
If Bitcoin closes below $92,606, it will drop further to retest the crucial support level at $90,000.
Ethereum is trading between $3,245 and $3,522.
After a 50% price drop to $3,245 on December 23, 2024, Ethereum has been consolidating between $3,245 and $3,522. As of Friday, it is trading at $3,461, close to its consolidation high of $3,522.
Assuming Ethereum will surpass $3,522, it could rise to $4,000.
The RSI on the daily chart is 48, below 50, indicating a trader’s hesitation. Like Bitcoin, the MACD is above a bullish crossover on the daily chart, indicating an uptrend.
If ETH breaks and closes below $3,245, which is the lower consolidation range, it will drop below $3,000.
Ripple price may rise
From early December to early January, Ripple’s price traded in a symmetrical triangle, a technical pattern with multiple highs and lows and two converging trend lines. The target of this bullish technical pattern is usually the distance between the initial swing high and low to the breakout point. On Friday, Ripple was trading at around $2.45, approaching the upper trend line of the triangle.
The technical target for this pattern is $3.63 if a daily candle closes above the daily resistance level at $2.56. After a 17% rally to retest the psychological significance threshold for Ripple at $3.00, traders may book gains and cap this potential advance.
