On January 2, PANews reported that the decentralized exchange Uniswap announced that Uniswap version 4 (v4) will be 'coming soon' in 2025, after this version failed to be released as originally planned in the third quarter of 2024. Notably, the announcement did not specify a release date. The platform will remain in testing throughout 2024.
Uniswap v4 is expected to introduce significant architectural changes, including features such as Hooks for executing custom code before and after swaps. These enhancements will enable functionalities like limit orders, custom oracles, fee management, and automated liquidity strategies. Other updates include dynamic fees, gas savings, flash accounting, native ETH support, and various pool types.
