Deep Tide TechFlow news, on January 2, Bitcoin advocate Dennis Porter revealed that Swiss lawmaker Samuel Kullmann is promoting a referendum plan to include Bitcoin in the Swiss Constitution. The plan requires collecting 100,000 signatures within 18 months to prompt state parliaments to vote on the inclusion of Bitcoin in the Constitution. Even if it ultimately fails to pass, the process of gathering signatures will encourage all state parliament members to gain a deeper understanding of Bitcoin. Currently, the proposal has entered the review stage by the Swiss Federal Government.
Previously, it was reported that Switzerland intends to include Bitcoin in the constitutional framework and has now initiated the referendum review process.
