1. Summary 2024
First, let me summarize my three major gains in 2024:
(1) This year, artificial intelligence has completely subverted my thinking
I'm a professional writer with 10,000 hours of writing experience under my belt. But now, any 10-year-old kid on the planet can easily generate beautiful literary works in just seconds with Claude. The skills I have honed throughout my life are now a commodity. In other words, my life's work became the raw material like oil, tape, or twine. What has this made of me? Where do I come from? Where should we go in the future? I’m still trying to figure out the answers to these questions, and I’ll delve into them in the forecast below.

(2) The "ultimate BOSS" fell
As the November election comes to a close, the American people have spoken. They chose Donald J. Trump (the orange man) to lead them (and the orange coin) into the future. I thought this day would come later, but the fact is here. The world’s richest governments have been infiltrated by crypto believers. This means we have crossed the chasm. Crypto technology is no longer a distant dream but a cornerstone of the future of commerce. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, but it also means that part of cryptocurrency’s originally anti-establishment soul has been lost. Today, cryptocurrencies are as much a tool of anarchists as they are part of the capitalist system.
(3) In 2024, Solana disrupts the whole world
I already thought it was “cool” in 2021. Yet, somehow, just three years later, it has become the blockchain I use the most (Base is second, Ethereum mainnet is third, and Bitcoin is fourth). If there's a lesson here, it's this: nothing is set in stone. Our mental models should not be set in stone but should always be open to evolution.

2. 26 predictions for 2025
(1) Multiple LLM (Large Language Model) agents, originally characterized by encrypted native perception, will be "shaped" into real-life robots, and we can communicate and interact with them face-to-face.
(2) The number of LLM-driven applications/protocols released in 2025 will be comparable to the number of new applications/protocols based solely on smart contracts. (For example, I wouldn’t be surprised if all prediction markets moved to LLM-driven settlement.)
(3) ZK (zero-knowledge) proof/multi-party computation (MPC) will usher in its first breakthrough success at a certain application or protocol level.
(4) The main "opinion leaders" (KOLs) in the encryption and AI industries will be driven by LLM, and AI-driven KOLs will be fully popularized on almost all social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
(5) AI will directly change your workflow within the next 12 months (and maybe longer).
(6) A sentient robot will amass a portfolio of over $250 million.
(7) The fastest-growing employment category of the year will be “artificial intelligence,” and an AI protocol similar to LinkedIn will usher in exponential growth.
(8) An AI agent will be named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year.”
(9) The total locked-up volume (TVL) on the chain will grow 8 times to reach 1 trillion US dollars.
(10) The market value of the AI agent platform and Token will grow 50 times to approximately US$500 billion.
(11) A high-profile “kidnapping” involving a humanoid robot will make international headlines.
(12) "ACCELERATE" will become the new slogan of this cycle, replacing SBF's beloved "EA/Effective Altruism".
(13) Narratives that may rival (but not surpass) AI next year: RWA (Real World Assets), RWA, or RWA (honorable mentions include DePin, DeSci, and Games).
(14) With the accelerated integration of encryption, decentralized networks, DePin and AI, “Web4” will attract more attention than “Web3”.
(15) The X platform will integrate a crypto wallet that supports DOGE and other major Tokens.
(16) The most radical and exciting agent experiments will accelerate on decentralized social media (like @farcaster_xyz), and the X platform will have difficulty balancing human and agent content.
(17) You will interact with a "person" online, and then realize that the other person is actually an LLM.
(18) Agent-generated protocols and applications (such as spore.fun) will experience explosive growth, bringing us a large number of new Tokens and experiments. Capital will flow to existing leaders and projects that benefit from overall agent growth (like COOKIE or VIRTUAL).
(19) At least one AI-generated movie will transcend the label of “novelty” and become a truly perfect and moving work of art, paving the way for the 2026 AI Oscars.
(20) Cookie.fun and RWA.xyz will join the crypto industry’s leading data platforms alongside @CoinMarketCap, @coingecko, @Dune and @DefiLlama.
(21) Ordinary “meme coins” (meme coins) will launch agent mascots/endorsement robots, otherwise they will gradually move towards the edge of irrelevance.
(22) The crypto market will be divided into "left curve" native crypto players and "middle curve" traditional financial people. These traditionalists are more inclined to focus on DeFi projects with valuable accumulation.
(23) BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) will usher in a breakthrough, and Bitcoin believers hope to use their “orange coins” as collateral for borrowing. This will ultimately drive the adoption of runes and inscriptions on Bitcoin.
(24) The race toward AGI (artificial general intelligence) and ASI (artificial super intelligence) will not slow down, it will only accelerate. This will inevitably make almost every knowledge worker feel existential anxiety. In some specific industries, it is beyond the level of a Ph.D. to write code better than most programmers, and even outperform on ARC tests. Ordinary people. Just as the ancients firmly believed in geocentrism, our current concept of "anthropocentrism" also needs to change when facing LLM. These models have passed the Turing test and show some glimmers of future glory.
(25) A powerful AI-based religion would not only attract attention but also attract some true believers. As humans search for meaning in a rapidly changing world, this may already be happening quietly through Truth Terminal and $GOATToken, or a new project will use these ideas as seeds to build new meaning and direction.

3. Things to note in 2025
(1) "Weirdization" unfolds before our eyes
We are experiencing a phenomenon of "weirdization". As @FartCoinOfSOL surges to a $1.2 billion market cap and attracts mainstream media attention: this is insanely ridiculous. I love the smell, but I also have to admit, it's confusing. As the nanny in (The Little Mermaid) said late at night: Something seems wrong. Technology is separating us from the rational bedrock of society. Where will we go next? Unknown, but destined to be even crazier.
(2) Symbiosis between consciousness and tools
Our consciousness is changing as tools evolve. LLM (Large Language Model) has changed the way I communicate and learn. I write faster, revise less, and think more broadly. Likewise, I read faster, tend to skim more, and let my selection model provide the summary. Either adapt to these tools or be abandoned by the times.
(3) Wide application of decentralization
Decentralization is not limited to the financial industry. It is an overarching economic trend driven by cryptography that will expand into other industries: from cellular networks to electricity, politics, gaming platforms, and more. This trend hit home for me this year when I used 3D printing to create an alternative bathroom shelf. It can be said that even the means of production are becoming decentralized.
(4) The truth is hidden under fear
The most sincere words are often the most dangerous because they are the hardest to say out loud.
(5) Don’t be fooled by sweet words
With the election of Trump and the true arrival of traditional finance (TradFi), we have entered an era of higher-than-ideal profits. In a sense, this puts the crypto industry in unprecedented danger.
(6) "Caution" does not equal wisdom
Hemingway said: "Old people don't get wiser, they only get more cautious." But when artificial intelligence begins to subvert our work, society, economy and politics, caution is not what we want. Let those around you be cautious while you boldly face uncertainty and grow.
(7) Difficulties are the door to success
Every game has losers, otherwise it wouldn't be a game. If the crypto industry fails you a hundred times, stand up a hundred and one times and eventually you will win.
(8) Algorithm Cage
Algorithms are everywhere. They trap us in endless sliding, sensing, and searching, and it feels like there’s never enough time. What would happen if you chose to disconnect and become the rarest thing in the world - to explore deeply and create something truly new?
(9) The only direction is forward
Don’t let anyone or anything force you to stand still and accept the status quo. Adjust, grow, accelerate, this is our only chance.
(10) Token carries dreams
Token is not only a tool for value transfer. If that were all, I wouldn't stay in this industry. They also carry our hopes and dreams. We project our desires onto project founders, developers, and the ecosystem, and these desires are directly related to the Token price. Keep this in mind when investing, the greatest opportunities do not exist solely in rational analysis, but are something you can feel in your heart.
(11) The future vision of decentralized science
The lab of the future could look like this: Android robots in a sterile environment are on standby, and an agent hires them on the fly to run reproducible experiments and put all inputs, parameters and measurements on-chain. Through tokenization, others can speculate on the feasibility of the experiment and share the benefits when the experiment is successful.
(12) The market devours everything
The growth in the number of markets such as prediction markets, betting markets, meme coins, and even future governance (futarchies) is no accident. If information is the “fundamental building block of reality,” pricing information is one way to assess its impact. Some people think that the expansion of the market is a manifestation of nihilism, but is this actually a sign of progress? A way to apply crowd wisdom to seemingly random decisions?
(13) Don’t magnify your fears
Fear is often amplified because it is vital to our survival. But in today’s sanitized, numbing, social media-driven analog world, the impact is minimal. Algorithms are designed to trigger fear, discount it when you feel triggered. For example, if an article gives you a 40% chance of a market crash, divide that by 10 (or some other number you're comfortable with) to get it down to 4%.
(14) Enter the "back room"
When talking to AI deniers, they often have a religious-like belief in human creativity, believing that “AI can never create new things because it is trained on information we create.” However, @AndyAyrey’s “Infinite Back Room” project subverts this narrative by creating a space for LLM to communicate with themselves. There, AI invented a religion that captured the attention of @truth_terminal and ultimately spawned the rise of GOAT.
(15) Change of identity
Traditional finance is gradually absorbing encryption technology. Being in crypto has long been a core part of my identity. But over the past year, that identity has changed dramatically. I now view encryption as one tool among many, all of which are converging. When crypto and artificial intelligence collide, we change too. We are no longer just “members of the crypto industry” but are: A) speculators like traders on Wall Street, or B) accelerationists using crypto and other tools to achieve a decentralized and open source world.
(16) Expanded functional layout
The following two "hard-core" moves can be called the most awesome operations in history:
In June 2014, Elon Musk disclosed the design of Tesla electric car;
In July 2023, Zuckerberg released Llama 2 as open source.
Now it's your turn. You can choose to stick with the protectionist, statist, bureaucratic business models that impede human progress, make wealth more unevenly distributed and make the already rich richer, or you can help us all move faster.
(17) Pursue volatility rather than safety
If your goal is to accumulate as much wealth as possible before machines make human labor redundant, then you have to find volatility. The best traders in the world don't shy away from volatility, they chase it like a golden snitch. Once you find the swings and start trading, you have to adjust your emotional response. When retail investors sell, you hold; when retail investors buy, you sell. Bear the pain and smile because you know what's waiting for you on the other side.
Lifeless mood coins are the most boring. Today, emotion coins are divided into two categories:
Traditional sentiment coins (such as $PEPE, $WIF, $BONK, $DOGE, etc.);
Smart sentiment coins (such as $GOAT, $LUNA, $KWEEN).
The first relies on humans to spread its creed; the second relies on machines that don’t require eating, sleeping, or urinating. Traditional emotional coins must be transformed into smart emotional coins, otherwise they will completely withdraw from the stage of history.
(18) Identify your emotional triggers and then give them hell
@harari_yuval pointed out that the three triggers used by algorithms to maximize attraction are: fear, hatred and greed. We package cryptocurrency as a world-changing technology and the “way of the future,” but in reality it’s often just greed wearing a Pepe mask. I can personally feel how the ups and downs of the market affect my mood, and the bear markets of the past few years may have had a greater impact on my mental state than I'd like to admit. Now, when I feel the timeline or the market changing my mood, I shrug and say, "Nice play, I see right through you, but I don't care at all."
(19) Choose the positive side
Faced with the coming super artificial intelligence, there are two reactions:
To throw up your hands and say, "Everything that makes me unique is dead, life sucks, we can't make it"; or
"Oh my gosh, I'm alive in this moment. The chains of life extension, interstellar exploration, humanoid robots, and competition are about to be lifted, and we will truly know who we are."
(20) Wisdom is iterative
Large Language Models (LLMs) have changed the way I think about intelligence. I realize now that it's not deterministic. All learning requires experimental iterations. Whether it's humans or machines, progress always stalls. This means that testing/experimenting and feeling like you are staying put is actually part of the growth process.
(21) Development of smart agents
Don’t just look at today’s AI smart agents. Groundbreaking models like @truth_terminal, @0xzerebro, @aixbt_agent and more will continue to evolve. We will see trading agents, predictive agents, shopping agents, doctor agents, and more. Some smart agents will evolve into huge autonomous businesses. Their value will initially be in the billions and may eventually reach trillions, all of which will come true as the Singularity approaches.
(22) Don’t let them take away your wildness
My deepest fear about artificial intelligence is not extinction, but domestication. I call it being “dog-ified”: being fed subtly poisoned information. These manipulations are not crude, but fine-tuning that appear to be gifts. Like dogs that evolved to be trained to read human expressions, artificial intelligence will become extremely sharp at picking up on our psychological trigger points, cognitive blind spots, and deep desires. Soon, we will be eagerly running towards these digital masters, passionately pursuing algorithmically crafted satisfactions. The real horror is not that artificial intelligence will destroy humanity, but that it will tame us. Like loyal dogs, we will wag our tails as a sign of goodwill during domestication.
(23) Draw inspiration from the myths of the fringe
Here are five of my favorite emerging topics for 2024: Futarchies, AI intelligent agents, the secret space of LLM, intersubjectivity, and longevity. It’s highly recommended to spend a few minutes exploring each topic with a chatbot (or better yet, a book).
(24) Extraordinary privileges
In the trading market, victory belongs to the first to exit. Getting a head start takes time, exploration, and perhaps most importantly, imagination. If you can often get a head start, it will eventually pay off. Assuming this holds true (and in my experience it does), the difficulty is not in building wealth, but in knowing when to reach your goals and get out of the way. What awaits us on the other side will be a completely different game—a game not for the head, but for the soul. I hope to meet you there.

4. 19 encryption recommendations
After five years of experience publicly predicting the cryptocurrency market, I can confidently say: one year is too long a prediction period… Here are my current favorite tokens. Three months from now, I might have a completely different list. Having said that, the reason these tokens attract attention and have impressive market caps is because they are at the forefront of exploring the future. Please remember, this is not financial advice. I own most of these tokens, so I'm biased. Do your own research (DYOR), otherwise it’s easy to get scolded:
(1) Bitcoin: Bitcoin has been playing "grassroots games" for many years. Now, the discussion about the "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" has changed its destiny and it is playing the "King's Game". The price will continue to rise until most people cannot own an entire Bitcoin.
(2) Virtuals Protocol ($VIRTUAL) core infrastructure for launching tokenized AI agents on Base.
(3) Ethena ($ENA) Traditional Finance (TradFi) understands returns far better than any carbon-based life form on earth. As TradFi crosses the chasm into the crypto world, they will favor a project that could become a revenue behemoth.
(4) Tokenbot ($CLANKER) The decentralized social network Farcaster has become an experimental hot spot for agency activities, and CLANKER serves as the pump.fun Token startup tool for this ecosystem.
(5) aixbt ($AIXBT) If I could only follow one account on X (Twitter) for crypto news, it would probably be this purple Pepe proxy. While it currently mostly forwards other content, it misses almost nothing, and I expect its insights will deepen over time.
(6) Cookie DAO ($COOKIE)Cookie.fun is the emerging data leader in encryption-driven proxy networks (i.e. Web4). Like VIRTUAL, COOKIE provides broad exposure to the overall growth of Web4, which I think will attract new crypto fund deployments in Q1.
(7) The flagship DePin project of the Helium ($HNT) industry. On a recent day, more than 349,000 people (often without realizing it) accessed the network for mobile services in the United States.
(8) Meta ($META) A radical experiment in turning complex decisions into markets through futarchies.
(9) Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT) The first proxy wisdom to gain a cult following on social media, powered by Truth Terminal. The agent's backstory reads like a psychedelic report by Hunter S. Thompson.
(10) Ondo ($ONDO) is currently the iconic Token adopted by RWA (Real World Assets). Oversupply could dampen price action, but I'd rather be in the trade than miss out. An alternative option is Chex Token ($CHEX).
(11) AI16Z & ELIZA The Eliza architecture used to launch on-chain agents is the leading code library for all industries (not just the encryption industry) on Github. Each fork makes its long-term relevance deeper.
(12) Bittensor ($TAO) claims to be the first "neural network", providing an interconnection center for decentralized AI projects, deploying code and competing for TAO. In a way, I see it as a decentralized AI incubator and testing ground for the viability of AI ideas.
(13) WZRD & PUPS are my two favorite Bitcoin Tokens. WZRD is about to be transformed into one of the greatest Internet memories: Magic Internet Money. At the same time, PUPS is the coordination point for Bitcoin Puppets – the most recognizable NFT in the industry.
(14) Aave ($AAVE) If we assume that everything will be tokenized in the future, then most of these assets will be available for Aave’s lending platform as collateral. AAVE is one of the few assets in crypto that I can see a path to a trillion dollar market cap.
(15) Arweave ($AR) works quietly to become the permanent data storage layer of Web4. Approximately 6TB of data is permanently stored on Arweave each month, including the majority of Solana NFTs. The upcoming launch of AO should be a significant catalyst for further growth.
(16) Zerebro ($ZEREBRO) is an OG "fantasy AI artist" who regularly releases artworks, music, and highly entertaining posts.
(17) Worldcoin ($WLD) was founded by Sam Altman of OpenAI. WLD aims to launch "AI-funded UBI" (basic income) globally. I have mixed feelings about it and its eye-scanning sphere, but its connection to Altman and OpenAI is too much for me to ignore. Once integrated with OpenAI, it may become a top ten token in an instant.
(18) Drift Protocol ($DRIFT) supports on-chain perpetual contracts and prediction markets on Solana. Solana does a great job with spot memecoin trading... I expect it to generate significant growth in perpetual contract trading volume in the future.
(19) Griffin ($GRIFFAIN) & AI Rig Complex (ARC) This one is vying for the crown of “Solana version of Virtuals”.

5. Summary
We are often warned that "this time it's different" is a dangerous statement that only fools caught up in speculative mania believe. However, we often forget that there have been so many times in history that technological changes are indeed completely different... For example, Gutenberg's printing press popularized the spread of knowledge, the Industrial Revolution brought us from farmland to cities, and the Internet brought local The business system completely collapsed.
In other words, "this time is different" is sometimes true. We now stand on the edge of such a historical moment. Social rules, traditions, and even our understanding of ourselves will undergo a rebirth. This process is cruel and will inevitably have consequences.
