Cryptocurrency analyst Michaël van de Poppe attracted attention with his 2025 predictions for Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency analyst and trader Michaël van de Poppe has expressed his bullish outlook for Bitcoin (BTC). Poppe, who has 169,000 YouTube subscribers, said he predicts Bitcoin will gain around 60% in value through 2025.

Poppe noted that Bitcoin will benefit from a prolonged bull cycle in the coming months:

I don't expect Bitcoin to peak in 2025 because it will take a lot more money to make such a big move. So I think the cycles will be longer and more based on macroeconomic perspectives. Instead of the four-year halving cycle, these cycles will be based on macroeconomic factors. I predict Bitcoin will pass $150,000 this year and stay there for a while, then start expanding into 2026.

Bitcoin’s rally will be partly driven by macroeconomic developments, according to Van de Poppe. “We can see that the global money supply is increasing and the US money supply is lagging.

“There is more to come from the US and I think the labor markets will weaken in 2025 and the possibility of a recession will increase. This will continue the momentum of Bitcoin by rapidly increasing the US money supply,” he explained.

However, Poppe cautioned that Bitcoin will not reach its cycle top neatly. “That said, I do expect significant corrections to occur. I expect to see a 30% correction by the end of Q1 2025, and that will be very similar to what we saw in 2024,” he said.
