US stocks opened higher on the closing day of 2024, and crypto stocks generally rose
The US three major stock indexes collectively opened slightly higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.22%, the S&P 500 index up 0.21%, and the Nasdaq up 0.38%. The "Big Tech Seven" stocks all rose, with Tesla (TSLA.O) opening up 1.39%, Apple (AAPL.O) up 0.17%, and Nvidia (NVDA.O) up 0.4%. Among the cryptocurrency concept stocks, COIN opened up 1.7% and MSTR rose 3.72%.
