🚨Asian guy steals 200 million USD in BTC!!!
I just came across this guy named Malone Lam on Douyin, has anyone heard of him? He is only 20 years old this year and stole Bitcoin worth 230 million USD, but just a few days later he ended up in prison.
He pretended to be Google customer service and called credit union customers using a fake number, successfully obtaining their personal account information. Then he impersonated Gemini customer service, telling these customers that their accounts had been hacked, and convinced the victims to transfer their Gemini funds to a controlled illegal wallet. Surprisingly, he even managed to see one victim's Bitcoin account private key through a screen sharing software called AnyDesk. He then directly transferred 4,100 Bitcoins.
What I don't understand is that he didn't even try to hide it; he and his accomplices spent over a million dollars that night at a nightclub. I also saw on X that he liked a girl and bought her many Birkin bags, but when she said she had a boyfriend, she rejected him. There are also mentions on X about them buying houses, cars, and jewelry in Los Angeles and Miami, but I haven't come across more detailed videos yet.
Currently, the most controversial thing on X is that he must be very smart to steal so much money, but the series of actions he took seem very foolish, as he got himself locked up after only a few days of luxury.
