ChainCatcher News, according to Cryptonews, the crypto payment platform MoonPay has announced that it has obtained a MiCA license issued by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets.

The MiCA regulation establishes a unified legal framework for digital assets across the European Economic Area (EEA), aimed at improving consumer protection, transparency, and market stability. The platform stated that with the MiCA approval, it can continue to provide fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat payment services in Europe. The payment company mentioned that its business spans over 180 countries and supports more than 100 digital assets. The MiCA framework officially came into effect today, representing an important step forward for the European cryptocurrency sector.
