Golden Finance reported that security researcher Taylor Monahan revealed that crypto hackers have found a clever new way to trick victims into downloading malware that can give hackers access to the victims' computers and empty their wallets or cause other significant losses. It was stated that the hackers first impersonate a recruiter from a well-known crypto company, offering the target a salary of $200,000 to $350,000. However, this method does not involve tricking the target into opening a PDF containing malware or having the victim download video conferencing software disguised as malware, but rather instructing the victim on how to fix microphone and video access issues, "If you follow their instructions, you're done for."
