#BitwiseBitcoinETF China will reduce import duties on ethylene and certain types of recycled copper and aluminum raw materials from January 1, 2025, writes Reuters, citing a government statement on Saturday.
The Ministry of Finance announced changes in numerous categories of import tariffs that will take effect from January 1, aimed at increasing imports of quality goods, expanding domestic demand, and promoting high-level openness, according to the statement.
Starting from 2025, a temporary import duty lower than the rate for countries benefiting from the most-favored-nation status will be established for 935 types of goods, the ministry reported.
The reduction in duties will affect goods such as cycloolefins, ethylene-vinyl alcohol, and automatic gearboxes for special vehicles.
