Bitwise has submitted a proposal to U.S. regulators to launch a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) to invest in publicly traded companies that hold large reserves of Bitcoin.
Under the Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF, the ETF issuer would invest in companies that “hold at least 1,000 Bitcoins in their corporate treasury,” according to a Dec. 26 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to Odaily, HODL15 Capital reports that more than 20 companies have a chance of being included in the ETF.
