$BTC Bitcoin mining companies in the United States consume as much electricity as the entire state of Utah, according to a new analysis report released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on February 2, 2024, and that is considered the lower end of the consumption range.[29]
Bitcoin mining operations’ electricity consumption has increased more than 113-fold in ten years, rising from 1.0566 terawatt hours in 2013 to more than 121 terawatt hours in 2023, according to data from (ccaf).
So its rate of increase is very likely to reach $100K and perhaps more than that in the coming week.
