According to TechFlow, on December 27, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted on the social platform X, thanking the research team and leaders who drive innovation. "It's (relatively) easy to copy something you know works. It's very difficult to do something new, risky, and difficult, especially when you don't know if it will succeed. Individual researchers deserve a lot of credit when they do this! It's the coolest thing in the world."

“It’s also extremely difficult to rally a great research team together to tackle a new peak. This is essential to driving progress. Thanks to Ilya, Jakub, Bob, Mark, and the many other outstanding research leaders who have got us here. I especially want to thank @MillionInt (Jerry Tworek) for his tireless leadership of the Strawberry team - getting to this point is one of the best demonstrations of leadership in OpenAI’s history, and there are many more to come.”
