Phala Network is a blockchain coprocessor. Developers deploy Phat contracts, which are off-chain programs for coprocessors. This way, DApps benefit from network access, internet access, and massive computation. The project also addresses the limitations of Web3.

Phala Network has one of the largest Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) on Intel Software Protection Extensions (SGX) hardware, which means that all code and data on the Phala Network is protected from unauthorized user access. Phala solves the current challenges for developers by expanding the range of supported development languages with JavaScript and other languages, as well as providing ready-to-use templates for easy integration of Phat contracts and making life easier for Web3 developers. Phala products include Phat Contract, SubBridge, inDEX, and PhalaWorld.

PHA is the native token of the Phala Network. It can be used for trusted computing. Users spend PHA to use TEE resources for off-chain computing, allowing Phat contracts to be deployed securely on multiple blockchains. PHA holders with enough tokens can participate in the Phala DAO and shape the future of the network by voting.
