According to Techub News and Cointelegraph, due to the inability of the cryptocurrency exchange DMM to recover from the $320 million cryptocurrency wallet theft incident in May, DMM has reached an agreement with the Japanese cryptocurrency financial company SBI VC Trade SBI, under which SBI will receive the transfer of all accounts and deposit assets of the hacked cryptocurrency exchange DMM Bitcoin. Customers of the exchange need to prepare their accounts by March. SBI stated in a notification on December 25 that it has agreed to accept all DMM customer accounts and assets, which will be transferred to the company on March 8, 2025. SBI will automatically create accounts for transitioning DMM users, and DMM customers do not need to open accounts with SBI.
