The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, believes that the native wallet Lace is likely to transform into a "powerful tool" in 2025.

As 2024 comes to a close, many participants in the crypto industry are wondering what catalysts will take their ecosystems to new heights in 2025. One such catalyst for the Cardano ecosystem may have recently come to light.

"Powerful Tool"

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson predicted that Lace, a functional lightweight wallet created by Input Output, the main developers of the Cardano network, will become a "powerful tool" for the ecosystem in 2025.

Hoskinson expressed this opinion on Tuesday, December 24, in response to statements from the wallet that its migration from Nami, referring to the migration of users from Nami to Lace, is in "full swing" and that more and more users are embracing the latter.

Nami is one of the most popular Cardano wallets, with over 200,000 users. Input Output acquired the wallet in 2023, launching a built-in mode that allows users to continue using the Nami interface they love while enjoying all the new benefits.
