Philippines releases comprehensive rules for crypto assets regulation covering disclosure, public offering, trading and marketing activities
The Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has introduced extensive rules for crypto assets, covering disclosure, public offerings, trading and marketing activities. The regulations are intended to strengthen investor protection and promote transparency in the booming digital asset market.
Under the new guidelines, crypto-asset issuance must submit a disclosure document to the SEC at least 30 days before any marketing activity or public sale. The document must detail the provider, issuer, key features, risks and underlying technology of the crypto-asset, as well as clearly state potential risks, including loss of value and limited transferability.
Crypto assets classified as securities require a registration statement approved by the SEC before they can be publicly offered. Entities that issue or trade crypto assets must comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws and the SEC's reporting requirements. It emphasizes that non-compliance may result in fines, suspension or revocation of licenses. (Crowdfund Insider)
Hong Kong Police: Cryptocurrency-related losses exceeded 3.1 billion yuan in the first ten months of this year, with the highest single loss reaching 1.6 billion yuan
According to Hong Kong media Wen Wei Po, the Hong Kong police said that they received more than 3,400 cases related to cryptocurrency last year, with losses exceeding 4.3 billion yuan. In the first 10 months of this year, there were more than 2,100 cases, with losses exceeding 3.1 billion yuan.
Among the relevant cases, the highest single loss was about 1.6 billion yuan. Ng Kit-chung, a member of the Legislative Council from the Election Committee, said that in addition to strengthening supervision and publicity and education, the Hong Kong government also needs to know more about cryptocurrencies, understand the investment risks, avoid being greedy for small profits, choose licensed trading platforms when investing, and do what they can.

Increased authorized Class A shares from 330 million to 10.33 billion shares to support future financings;

Earlier news, MicroStrategy proposed the "21/21 Plan", which plans to conduct $21 billion in equity financing and $21 billion in bond issuance in the next three years, using the additional capital to purchase more BTC as a financial reserve asset in order to achieve higher BTC returns.
Robinhood CEO: The company has discussed establishing Bitcoin reserves internally
Robinhood CEO Vladimir Tenev said on the Anthony Pompliano podcast that the company has discussed holding Bitcoin internally, but the company has no plans to maintain BTC reserves.
“We wouldn’t rule it out. We haven’t done that so far, we’re not in the investment manager business,” he said. The CEO went on to say that while Robinhood hasn’t followed in the footsteps of companies like MicroStrategy and Tesla and added Bitcoin to its balance sheet, his company’s stock price “has been highly correlated to Bitcoin without us having it in our inventory.” Robinhood stock (ticker: HOOD) is up 202% this year, while Bitcoin has returned 110% year to date.
