Follow 3 awesome Christmas airdrops

As the cryptocurrency market faces significant corrections and liquidations during Christmas and New Year, many new projects are offering potential airdrop opportunities. Users can engage in simple tasks and earn Tokens without an initial investment.

Here are three notable cryptocurrency airdrops to watch for in the last week of 2024.

Caldera

Caldera is a rollup deployment platform that enables high-performance, specialized application rollups using frameworks like Arbitrum Nitro, Optimism Bedrock, zkSync ZK Stack, and Polygon CDK. The project has raised $25 million, including a $15 million Series A round led by Founders Fund.

Caldera's testnet campaign currently has three open tasks that may lead to qualification for a potential airdrop. First, there is the Apechain NFT challenge. Users can mint a newly launched NFT alongside Apechain.

Minting this NFT before December 24 may increase the chances of receiving future rewards.

To celebrate reaching $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) in Caldera Rollups, the project has released a free mintable NFT. Interested users can connect their wallets and mint this Token directly on the official website.

“From December 22 to January 1, complete small tasks posted on our social network to mint free collectible cards. On January 2, a lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive: 1 year of sponsored gas fees on Ethereum. That's right, the whole year. Additionally, three other lucky winners will each receive a Ledger Flex!” Caldera posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Finally, those hoping for an airdrop can participate by minting the NFT “Rollup Provider” on the dedicated superboard, a collaboration between Caldera and RARI Chain.

Although the official timing of the airdrop has yet to be confirmed, many tasks ending this week could lead to an early TGE (Token Generation Event) announcement.

Anoma (Namada)

Anoma is a decentralized operating system designed to integrate multiple blockchain networks into a unified development environment. Backed by Carnegie Ventures and Polychain Capital, Anoma has raised $57.75 million.

Anoma's campaign on the Guild website rewards participants by granting roles in its Discord server. Users must complete various tasks to qualify, however, receiving the role may take several hours to appear.

“We are ready to leave the bridge in 2024. Anoma introduces a new model that allows state to move freely between chains, making bridges unnecessary,” the project posted on X.

In collaboration with Namada, Anoma offers an additional task to receive the role of “Shield Squad.” To qualify, users must meet at least two criteria such as holding specific roles in Namada's Discord server, following Namada on X, or maintaining a participation history in the Namada community.

Although the airdrop release date has not been determined, Anoma's initiatives emphasize rewarding early participation.

OpenLoop (OPEN)

OpenLoop is a decentralized wireless network transforming internet service provision by allowing users to share unused bandwidth.

Founded in 2024, OpenLoop focuses on decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and has raised $15 million, backed by the IPN Foundation.

The team recently launched a browser extension that rewards users for passive usage. These points can be converted into opportunities for upcoming airdrops.

Participants can install a browser extension to register for an account, invite friends, and complete tasks to boost their total points.

“And just like that… OpenLoop has reached 200K downloads! A heartfelt thank you to all the validators, partners, supporters, and community members who made this milestone possible. Let's keep the momentum going — 500K, here we come!” OpenLoop posted on X.

OpenLoop is still in the testnet phase, with no fixed deadline for participation. There is speculation that the project may release an airdrop before transitioning to mainnet in early 2025.

These projects highlight the increasing opportunities in the cryptocurrency space to earn Tokens through active participation. With various deadlines and requirements, early participation can provide users with benefits from these potential rewards.
