CoinVoice has learned that, according to Cointelegraph, the latest information from the Malaysian Securities Commission's website indicates that the securities regulator of Malaysia has listed the Web3 wallet service Atomic Wallet among the financial companies prohibited from operating in the country due to its 'unregistered operation of a digital asset exchange (DAX).'

The regulator did not provide further clarification on this matter, but it is worth noting that Atomic Wallet was hacked in 2023, resulting in losses of over $100 million, and has consequently become the target of multiple lawsuits.

Currently, Atomic Wallet has been blacklisted along with several other cryptocurrency-related companies banned by the Malaysian Securities Commission from operating in the country, such as Crypto Trade Malaysia and Best Exchange. [Original link]
