Malaysia's securities regulator has included the Web3 wallet service Atomic Wallet in the list of financial companies banned from operating in the country due to its "unregistered operation of a digital asset exchange (DAX)." Atomic Wallet suffered a hack in 2023, resulting in losses of over $100 million, and has since become the subject of multiple lawsuits. Currently, Atomic Wallet has been blacklisted along with several other cryptocurrency-related companies banned from operating in Malaysia, such as Crypto Trade Malaysia and Best Exchange.
