PANews December 24 news, according to Cointelegraph, the Malaysian Securities Commission has listed the Web3 wallet service Atomic Wallet among the financial companies banned from operating in the country, due to its "unregistered operation of a digital asset exchange (DAX)". The regulatory body did not provide further clarification, but it is noteworthy that Atomic Wallet suffered a hacker attack in 2023, resulting in losses of over $100 million, and has since become the subject of multiple lawsuits.
Currently, Atomic Wallet has been blacklisted along with several other cryptocurrency-related companies banned from operating in Malaysia by the Securities Commission, such as Crypto Trade Malaysia and Best Exchange.
