According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on December 23, BNB Chain released its 2024 annual report showing that the total number of daily active users on BSC and opBNB reached 5.82 million, and the total locked value (TVL) in the ecosystem increased by 58.2% year-on-year to $5.5 billion. Among them, opBNB's TVL grew by 27.6% to $19.2 million.
In terms of technological breakthroughs, opBNB achieved an expansion capability of 4,600 TPS and a gas limit of 100 million per second, and introduced a parallel EVM; the storage chain Greenfield launched important updates such as Hulunbeier, Ural, and Pawnee, and launched the Greendrive application, currently supporting over 30 public datasets.
BSC's average daily transaction volume reached 4 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; opBNB's average daily transaction volume reached 7.1 million, with transaction fees as low as $0.001; the number of independent addresses on BSC grew by 17.7% to 486 million. The number of security incidents throughout the year decreased by 66% year-on-year, and the amount of risk losses fell from $162 million to $53 million, a decrease of 67%.
In addition, BNB Chain supported ecological development throughout the year through the MVB program, BIA incubation alliance, and organized multiple hackathon events, distributing over $2 million in prizes.
