Family, today I want to share my painful experience with contract trading. At first, when I saw contract trading, I was intoxicated by the dream of getting rich quickly and eagerly jumped in, thinking I could make a lot of money by following the trends, but I had no idea I would fall into a bottomless pit as soon as I entered.
I invested about 18,000 in a certain K platform, thinking I could just sit back and wait for wealth to roll in, but reality hit me hard. The market changes as fast as lightning, and the trends are dazzling; every operation feels like a blind man feeling an elephant, and no analysis or judgment helps. As soon as I start a contract, it almost always goes wrong, and money flows out uncontrollably.
With losses accumulating, I calculated that I had lost nearly 300,000. I regretted so much that I couldn't sleep at night, tossing and turning while repeatedly pondering the root of the problem. In my 35 years of life, my investment journey has been full of ups and downs; this is my second major loss. The first was buying a house in 2018, where prices fell and interest rates were high; I lost nearly 1 million overall. I had hoped to recover my losses through contracts, but unexpectedly, it only made things worse.
Now I am completely awakened; the contract circle is unpredictable, and we ordinary investors are just lambs waiting to be slaughtered, constantly being cut down. The money lost is not tuition; it's purely a painful lesson.
So I decisively started a cooling-off period for perpetual contracts to protect my principal first; I can't keep messing around. In the next few days, I will put in 80,000 as principal for one last gamble, and it won't happen again. From now on, I will resolutely avoid contracts, occasionally buy some spot, and I will also post to share my positions, slowly regaining a solid investment mindset, quitting the gambling mentality, and absolutely not repeating the same mistakes.
That said, you can't hang all your hopes on one tree. Recently, the Elon Musk-themed 'Little Puppy' project on the Ethereum chain has become particularly popular, similar to the previous shib, with a novel concept. If any family members have some spare money and have adjusted their investment mindset, it might be worth paying attention to, as you might unearth a potential coin, but of course, you must learn from my previous lessons and act cautiously.
