My story of playing with meme coins yesterday. So, yesterday morning I tracked the wallet of the Fartcoin developer, a meme coin that has been making waves, reaching a market cap of 1.2 billion, and even getting listed on Binance alpha. I saw that the developer's wallet was swapping a lot of this Mocha coin. So, I jumped in when its market cap was around 20k on pumpfun, of course, just a lottery of 1 sol, which was just about 1% of the supply. Buying a lot, the developer also lost motivation to push it. I also didn't forget to call some close friends.
A few hours later, it bonded and went on Raydium. We went up 5x, and I didn't forget to buy a little more because I saw that the icon was polished, and the product was a meme creation website that was very promising, with many KOLs paying attention.
But from the 5x position at a market cap of 100k, the developer dumped it down to 15k. I thought it was a rug pull and was about to exit, but a few hours later, I saw it skyrocketing back to a market cap of 100k, then 200k, up 10x. It didn't stop there, it continued climbing to 20x, 30x, and then 80x at a market cap of 1.69 million (the developer must like 69). The feeling of going from 5x to rug, then back to a huge gain... was quite intense. I managed to close a position at the peak for many times my investment, and the remaining amount is waiting for a bigger gain.
But life isn't like a dream, the developer once again dumped it back to the 30k range, creating a Christmas tree congratulating me for Christmas. Regretfully, I jumped back in a little from the profits I made yesterday.
With the developer playing this way, I really don't dare to invest heavily or call my friends out here.
