PANews reported on December 20 that according to Techcrunch, Bluesky, a decentralized social media project supported by Jack Dorsey, has released a new update for its application in version v1.96, including: adding a separate mention label in notifications, allowing users to view mentioned posts separately (previously all notifications were concentrated under one label); launching a function to prevent username squatting, that is, when a user changes his username to a custom domain name, Bluesky will retain his original Bluesky username (with a .bsky.social suffix), and the reservation is permanent; and adding new reply sorting control options, users can choose linear view or nested view, and use different filters such as hot, oldest, newest, most popular and random to sort replies. In addition, Bluesky will also add support for Nepali, Khmer and Romanian.
