[The Monetary Authority of Singapore launches five new projects under the Guardian Program]

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has taken important measures in the financial technology industry and launched five innovative introduction projects under the Guardian Plan, symbolizing a turning point in decentralized finance (DeFi). These import projects aim to explore the process of asset tokenization, a process that is attracting global attention.

MAS is committed to building necessary capabilities, expanding tokenized market coverage, focusing on using digital assets to revolutionize the financial industry, improve market efficiency, liquidity, and open up new investment opportunities.

The Guardian Project has attracted participation from leading industry institutions such as Citibank, T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., Fidelity International and Ant Group. These institutions are experimenting with digital asset trading, real-time analysis and innovative money management solutions to set new standards for the industry.

BNY Mellon and OCBC are exploring cross-border FX payment solutions, while Franklin Templeton is looking into tokenized money market funds. JPMorgan Chase has partnered with Apollo to innovate in digital asset services, aiming to simplify traditional manual processing processes.

At the same time, MAS promotes the Global Layer 1 (GL1) initiative to create a multifunctional digital infrastructure for tokenized financial assets and applications, and develops the Interconnection Network Model (INM) to enable efficient digital asset exchange among financial institutions.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) joins Project Guardian as a policy-making partner, underscoring the international importance of the project and Singapore's leading position in the fintech industry.

These initiatives under the Guardian Project represent significant progress in institutionalized digital assets, heralding a more active financial market, abundant investment opportunities, and improved efficiency in the future. Singapore is not only experimenting with new technologies, but is also actively shaping the future financial landscape.
