According to Bitcoin Magazine, 17-year-old Bitcoin Core developer Ishaana Misra has won the first Bitcoin scholarship from Chaincode Labs, becoming the youngest contributor in the history of Bitcoin Core. It is reported that Chaincode Labs is a Bitcoin research and development center located in New York. This scholarship will cover Misra's academic expenses for one year and can be renewed annually until the end of her undergraduate education. Misra began learning programming at the age of 12. After reading the Bitcoin white paper, she quickly joined the Bitcoin Core development and taught herself C++ skills to contribute.
