Nigeria dismantles international cryptocurrency fraud ring

Nigerian authorities have arrested 792 people, including 148 Chinese and 40 Filipinos, for cryptocurrency fraud. The operation took place at a building in Victoria Island, Lagos, that was being used to train Nigerian recruits to scam through platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. Authorities seized sophisticated devices and SIM cards, in what is considered one of the largest operations against organized fraud in Nigeria.
