According to TechFlow, the Sui Foundation announced the launch of the DeepBook Protocol RFP funding program, which aims to encourage innovative development that meets the needs of the Sui ecosystem and DeepBook through direct financial support, and promote community cooperation and technological progress.

Developers or teams can submit application proposals before December 31, 2024. After submission, each proposal will be evaluated based on its fit with the RFP requirements and the overall feasibility of the project. A dedicated RFP committee will screen candidate projects and ultimately decide on the funding list through voting. In addition, to maintain transparency and accountability, selected developers or teams must complete the identity verification process and sign a funding agreement that includes project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

It is reported that DeepBook, launched in 2023, is Sui's first native liquidity layer. DeepBook operates as a public product, providing services for DeFi on Sui by providing a decentralized central limit order book that supports market and limit orders. The RFP program is designed to encourage developers to propose solutions around specific adjustments and plays a key role in incubating the tools needed to accelerate the growth of the Sui ecosystem.
