“How Solana Made Me Feel Like a Genius (For a Moment)”
I’m not going to lie: when I first started investing in cryptocurrencies, I was that typical curious person who barely knew the difference between Bitcoin and blockchain. But curiosity has always been stronger than fear, so I went and spent my time (and money) exploring the crypto world.
It was in 2020 that I heard about Solana. A friend told me: “Man, this coin has a future, it’s fast, cheap and full of projects emerging”. In my beginner’s excitement, I threw R$ 500 on what seemed like a pretty random guess. I confess, I didn’t even really understand how this “fast blockchain” worked.
Months later, I started following the price. And what happened? The thing went up. Then it went up more. And more. Out of nowhere, my investment turned into something close to R$$ 8,000. I felt like the Warren Buffett of crypto!
But don't worry, it's not all glamour. I was so happy that I sold too early and missed the chance to make even more profit when the price soared again. The lesson is: the crypto market is a mix of strategy, patience and luck (sometimes more luck than strategy, to be honest).
Today, I look at Solana not only as an investment that worked, but as the currency that taught me not to underestimate any project. And, of course, that gave me a good story to tell.
Moral of the story? Never ignore that friend who talks about crypto. Sometimes they're right.
