🔥 USDT transfer lost $26,800! A painful lesson from an operational error

My friend originally planned to transfer $25,500 USDT from KuCoin to his business partner's OKX wallet, and the recipient provided an ERC20 network address.
However, he accidentally selected the Polygon network during the operation and directly confirmed the transaction without checking it carefully.
2️⃣ Where the funds went
Since the OKX wallet does not support deposits on the Polygon network, the funds could not be received in the end, and once a cryptocurrency transaction is confirmed, it cannot be revoked. After trying to recover it to no avail, the money was completely wasted.
Lessons learned:
1️⃣ Network matching is key
The wallet address and network must match exactly, otherwise the funds may never reach the recipient.
2️⃣ Irreversible transaction mechanism
