The HashKey Gala Day is being held today during Taiwan Blockchain Week, with the documentary 'Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum' making its Taiwan premiere.

According to ChainCatcher news, the HashKey Gala Day, co-hosted by HashKey Global and Blocktempo, is being held today during Taiwan Blockchain Week, and it welcomes the Taiwan premiere of the documentary (Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum).

Tim Xing, Board of Director of HashKey Global, and Francis Li, Head of Architect of HashKey Chain, along with renowned professors, local prosecutors, and lawyers from Taiwan attended the event and shared important stories about HashKey and the early development of Ethereum.

HashKey executives stated that the team became aware of the Ethereum project in 2014 and funded the Ethereum Foundation with $500,000 in 2015 to help address its cash flow issues at the time. This crucial funding played an important role in supporting the timely launch of the Ethereum mainnet, becoming a legendary chapter in blockchain history.

The event also premiered the documentary (Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum) to the Taiwanese community. This film chronicles the journey of Vitalik Buterin and the Ethereum community in their fight for an open internet. Notably, the documentary completed the largest crowdfunding in blockchain history in 2021, raising 1,036 Ether, which provided substantial budget support for the film's production.
