According to the official records of the Japanese Senate 🇯🇵, a member of the Japanese Diet, Mr. Satoshi Hamada, has just proposed to call Bitcoin $BTC a "national asset".

Mr. Satoshi Hamada noted that there are currently movements in Brazil 🇧🇷 and the United States 🇺🇸, where officials from the Treasury Department may soon begin to hold Bitcoin as a "strategic reserve asset."

Mr. Hamada continues to urge the Japanese government to "consider converting part of its foreign exchange reserves into digital currencies such as Bitcoin."

He also added that the upcoming administration of Donald Trump will appoint a person referred to as a "crypto czar" and explained that "similar movements are also taking place in Brazil."
