Ethereum Layer-2 listed on Binance and Coinbase
Ethereum Layer-2 has been listed on major exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase with notable developments. Coinbase launched its Layer-2 named Base on August 9, 2023, developed in collaboration with Optimism. Base is designed to be a secure, cost-effective, and developer-friendly environment, allowing for the creation of decentralized applications. Users can use ETH as the gas fee unit in this network, and currently, Coinbase has no plans to release a separate token for Base.
As for Binance, this exchange has launched a testnet for its own Layer-2, based on Optimism's OP Stack. It is expected to provide transaction speeds of up to 4000 transactions per second with low transaction fees, similar to other Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum.
In summary, both Binance and Coinbase are actively implementing Layer-2 development strategies to enhance the trading experience and reach users in the cryptocurrency community.
