On December 9, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced:
Recently, due to NVIDIA's alleged violation of the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China and the announcement by the State Administration for Market Regulation regarding the antitrust review decision on NVIDIA's acquisition of a stake in Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (SAMR Announcement [2020] No. 16), the State Administration for Market Regulation has legally initiated an investigation into NVIDIA.

According to Article 3 of the Anti-Monopoly Law, monopolistic behaviors include three types of actions:
Operators reach a monopoly agreement;
Operators abuse market dominance;
